How to Fix Hard Drive or DVD if not showing up in Windows 7

Many people are cautious first time when they setup windows 7 as a operating system, they can't find up there other hard drive or DVD player in windows 7 operating system because, Windows 7 Beta is very stable and there are only a beta testers which are reporting problems with the new operating system. I will discuss two of those problems in this page.

1st Problem:

The first problem is for the users who already created a dual boot system to run windows Vista and windows 7 in the same computer. Windows 7 will not assigned a drive letter to the windows vista partition by default. Some person say that this is on purpose while others think that is  just a bug. However, there is an easy fix to access the Data on this Vista drive in Windows 7.

In that case firstly open the start menu, and type: run in the box of Search programs and files to open the RUN and press enter. Next type: diskmgmt.msc in the run box and press enter to open the Disk Management interface and wait a bit to open the full interface. In this interface you will see all the hard drives and partitions of your computer system. The partition containing the windows Vista should be shown without letter.

Now press Right click on the partition in the lower half of the screen and select the change drive letter and path, and now click the add button and need to assign a letter for that partition. The Windows Vista partition will now be visible in windows 7.

2nd Problem:

The second problem is not to shown the DVD drives in Windows 7. The DVD drive not to showing in windows 7 can have various reasons. One of the more common reasons is if Windows 7, 64bit is installed into your computer. The 64-bit edition of windows 7 verifies the digital signature of  hard drives, if a letter cannot verified it will be shown with a yellow exclamation mark in your Device Manager.

What is the solution?

A quick workaround is to press F8 of your keyboard during boot to turn off digital signing. A permanent solution can be disable to the checking digital signatures completely.

So, how can you do that...?
